Slack app outage as millions work from home in lockdowns

Slack – one of the corporate world’s most popular messaging systems – has suffered a global outage, causing issues for those working from home due to COVID-19 lockdowns.
The communications app confirmed on its website it was having connection issues world wide, however the app is still able to be used by some.
Slack said it is aware of “connectivity issues… impacting a small sub set of users.”
“We expect all customers’ connectivity issues to be resolved within the next 12 hours,” it said.
“We know how important it is for people to stay connected and we apologise for this disruption. We’ll share another update when the issue is resolved.”
